January 12 February 26 The White House Garden
The White House Garden
captures the history and splendor
of one of Americas oldest
continually landscaped gardens.
These stately grounds have
witnessed the comings and goings
of presidents and their families,
receptions for heads of state,
and Easter egg rolls and tee-ball
games. Despite changes from
season to season, year to year,
and century to century, the White
House garden has remained a
source of beauty, tradition, and
national pride for Americans
everywhere.
The White House Garden was
developed and supported by The
White House Historical
Association and organized for
travel by the Smithsonian
Institution Traveling Exhibition
Service.
